This is one of the series from Qiong Yao, a famous Taiwanese writer ( as well-known as the American writer, Danielle Steel I would say ). I like this song, coz it is the ending song that reminds me of the happy ending where the two main characters finally managed to escape from the extremely conservative rules of the Chinese society in China during the early years of the Republic Era.
The story is about a girl called 'Wan Juin', who was sent to a rich family to be married to one of the three sons ( still kids ) when she was a little girl, but in the growing process, Wan Juin has fallen in love with one of her brothers-in-law. At the same time, all the three brothers are also in love with her which has led to family chaos later. The parents of the three brothers are angry of this especially when the two of them left home for years. Due to anger, Wan Juin is asked to leave by the Chou family. And, the two ( the brother that Wan Juin has fallen into and she herself ) have to go through lots of hardships before they finally find a place somewhere; a peaceful village in China. In the end, the love between the two bears fruit in a small unknown village where all the villagers celebrate and send best wishes for them. The villagers are simple but with a precious generosity to accept the couple openly. Beautiful ending!
Honestly, this is not the one of Qiong Yao's that I like most; as there were some boring parts in the series when I watched it many, many years ago. Never really concentrated on the series. But, I do like the wisdom lies at the ending of the story besides the nice theme songs. Hence, I post it here today to share it with you...
